So the youngest has been in Boy Scouts almost a year now, a lot fewer post here,
as I'm doing less than as a den leader that's worthy of a blog post...
Espeicaly whenthe point of the blog was to help wtih the new cub scout Requirements.
but I have something worth adding..
Instead of a skill relay, where oen scout works at at ime I watned teh whole patrol involed in thsi game here are the instructions.
For the game , we'll need 1 senior scout per patrol to act as a judge,
one who knows their first aid pretty well.
If we have enough Jasms, Spls, Aspls, and such that will work. if they come from patrols we should

probably swap them around.
I have cheat sheets for them to work from, but if they don't need them it'll go faster.

Just so you are aware and can answer questions, here is how the game will go
The plan is to separate into patrols, and each patrol gets a baggie with deck of cards, and a judge
The judges get's a cheat sheet, and an extra paper that's part of one of the cards question.
The cards go face down on the floor or table.
There
are green cards for scout through first class, with basic first aid
questions. some of which require scouts to do things like take a
neckerchief and tie a bandage.
And Yellow cards for star and
up , with more complex scenarios, and the scouts need to diagnose the
problem and then describe treating it
There are 20 of each color card.
The ranks are printed on the back of the card to make it easy, except I did not get scout rank on there
The scouts circle around the cards, the judge is right there with them.
Each scout takes a turn starting to the right of the judge, and flips over a card for their rank and reads it.
Then that scout tries to answer it alone, The judge tells him if it's complete, using the cheat sheet.
If the scout cant' hit all the high points, the rest of the patrol takes turns helping him, trying to get a complete answer.
If the card gets answered well enough , it's picked up and put back in the bag the cards came from.

If not the Judge tells them what they missed and the card is put back into play, face down.
Then it's the next scouts turn.
Then it's the next scouts turn.
At the end of whatever time we allot, the patrol with the most cards solved wins.
Here are the docs for the Game, the cards are printed on standard laser cut business cards, Make sure you get one that works in your printer. My laser jammed with the paper I got, so ihad to print on my wifes. IN a pinch you can use colored paper or even white and cut them up, as the rank badgees (except scout) are printed on the back.
The rules, The cheat sheet for the judges, and a couple other skill games,
Upper sheet
Lower sheet
the lower sheet has a bad card, , #1 and #2 have teh same question, i'll try to update it later
